Graham High School’s Dallas Stadium was evacuated during their game against Champaign County rival Urbana due to threats of violence, according to Graham Local Schools Superintendent Chad Lensman.

“Last night, the football game was suspended in partnership with the Champlain County Sheriff’s Department due to a potential threat in the county. This was done out of precaution and the game resumed at 10 a.m. today,” Lensman said. “We appreciated the community’s cooperation and the orderly evacuation of the stadium.”

Deputies initially responded to the school around 8:30 p.m. and remained on campus until 10 p.m.

The Falcons led 40-27 when the game was halted Friday night.

There was no entry fee Saturday morning when the play resumed, according to the Urbana Athletics Facebook page.

St. Paris is located about 12 miles west of Urbana.
