Tuttle, Curtis J. "Curt"

Curtis J. "Curt" Tuttle, 74, of Urbana, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Monday morning, March 30, 2026. He was born in Springfield on February 22, 1952, the son of the late Robert F. and Ruth S. (Swab) Tuttle.

Curt began working in the family business, Tuttle Brothers Company as a child and was a partner in the business with his brothers, Rob and Tom, until its closing. Curt and his wife, Jill enjoyed traveling to Texas, Mexico and South Dakota, enjoying attending rodeos along the way.

He is survived by Jill, his wife of over 52 years; their daughters, Christina Lynn Tuttle and her partner, Jonathan Anway and his children and Jamie Tuttle; grandchildren, Katlyn Dotson and Chelsie Dotson; and great grandchildren, Brayden, Sy'Rhia, Legacy, and Ezra. Also surviving is his brother, Thomas (Karen) Tuttle; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Sue Tuttle and Jan (Jack) Weston Slough; best friends, Mark Elliott, Mark Haerr and Jason Parks; along with many other friends. His brother, Robert F. Tuttle Jr. recently preceded Curt in death on March 8, 2026.

A gathering to celebrate Curt's life will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday in The Landing at Littleton & Rue Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at Ferncliff Cemetery.
