A woman is facing charges in a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in Dayton earlier this year.

A grand jury indicted 34-year-old Cherice Nicole Love on one count each of aggravated vehicular assault, tampering with evidence and failure to stop after an accident and two counts of OVI, according to Montgomery County Common Pleas Court records. The OVI charges are first-degree misdemeanors.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 11, Love was driving a 2017 Nissan Altima east on Kurtz Avenue and stopped at North Main Street, according to a crash report filed by Dayton police.

After stopping at the intersection, Love turned left, failing to yield to the right of way, and hit a motorcycle traveling southeast on North Main Street.

Love reportedly failed to stop and identify herself.

Medics transported the motorcyclist, a 50-year-old man, to Kettering Health Dayton with serious injuries, according to the crash report.

Love is scheduled to be arraigned on Dec. 31.
