A 2004 Toyota Sienna was traveling eastbound on Hollansburg-Arcanum Road, and failed to yield the right of way while crossing the intersection and traveled into the path of a 2024 Kia van coming northbound on State Route 503, the sheriff’s office said.
The Kia van hit the Toyota Sienna on the passenger side and stopped in the grass, while the van remained on the roadway.
The Toyota Sienna driver and her juvenile passenger had to be extricated by mechanical means, the sheriff’s office said. The driver was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight, while the 14-year-old passenger was transported by MedFlight to Dayton Children’s Hospital with unknown injuries.
The second driver was transported by Greenville Twp. Rescue to Wayne Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and his two juvenile passengers were transported by Tri-Village Rescue to Dayton Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Arcanum Rescue, Arcanum Fire, Greenville Twp. Rescue, Tri-Village Rescue, New Madison Fire and CareFlight and MedFlight responded to the scene.
