Police: ‘Reckless’ gunfire injures 2; Multiple buildings shot in Dayton

A shooting injured two men and struck multiple buildings in Dayton Sunday morning.

The men, ages 21 and 23, have non-life-threatening injuries, said Dayton police Lt. Steven Bauer.

The pair showed up at Miami Valley Hospital in private vehicles just before 5 a.m. Sunday, prompting officers to respond.

Police determined the shooting took place near North Gettysburg and Blueberry avenues.

“This reckless gunfire involved in this incident caused stray bullets to strike multiple structures, at 2150 N. Gettysburg Ave., 4111 Kings Highway (Dayton Fire Department Station 16) and potentially 2147 N. Gettysburg Ave.,” Bauer said.

The Violent Offender Unit is investigating.
