Miamisburg man killed in weekend crash on I-675 in Fairborn

A Miamisburg man died at the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle on Interstate 675 South in Fairborn Saturday.

William Slusher, 66, died at Soin Medical Center - Kettering Health, according to Fairborn police.

The crash was reported at 12:13 p.m. on I-675 south of East Dayton Yellow Springs Road.

Slusher was hit by a single vehicle, according to a press release.

A Chevrolet Cruze swerved in slowed traffic to avoid a debris in the road, a crash report read.

The debris came from a Ford Edge with a trailer that was parked on the side of the road without hazards.

A 2025 Mazda CX-5 crossed the fog line in the right lane, traveling onto the side of the road, to avoid the Chevrolet Cruze and debris, according to the crash report.

The Mazda then hit a pedestrian, later identified as Slusher. It’s not clear if Slusher was with the Ford Edge parked on the side of the road.

Fairborn police are continuing to investigate.
