Jubie’s Creamery is closing its Moraine ice cream shop as the owner plans to focus on growing their wholesale and catering business this year.

“Our partnership with Dorothy Lane Market has really expanded our wholesale and catering accounts, which is both exciting and (a) whole lot of work,” Julie Domicone, who owns the business with her father, Fred, and mother, Stacey, wrote in a Jan. 15 Facebook post. “Their wide reaching network allows us the opportunity to still provide the best ice cream on the planet to those surrounding our Moraine location.”

With the focus on wholesale and catering, it will give the owners more time to search for new Jubie’s fans and expand their brand.

Domicone thanked their Moraine employees for being with them since they opened the shop at 2749 W. Alex Bell Road in May 2022.

“To our Moraine customers — we will still see you around! Our ice cream will still be available in your area and our Jubie Mobile will be out and about all year long at various events and festivals," Domicone said.

Jubie’s Fairborn and Troy locations remain open.

The Fairborn store, located at 471 W. Dayton Yellow Springs Road, is open noon to 9 p.m. daily. The Troy store, located at 79 Foss Way, is open 3 to 9 p.m. daily.
