Dayton police lifted a shelter in place advisory issued Monday morning due to an armed suspect in an apartment.

“If you are in the vicinity of 3627 Delphos Avenue please shelter in place unless advised otherwise by officers on scene,” Dayton police said shortly before 11 a.m.

The advisory was lifted after more than four hours, around 3:30 p.m.

In addition to Dayton officers, SWAT and the hostage negotiation team responded to the area.
