The Dayton Metro Library’s main branch was evacuated Wednesday afternoon after a fight reportedly broke out.

According to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center records, a possible fight was reported at the library branch at 215 E. 3rd St. at 2:44 p.m.

Multiple police cruisers were on scene, along with a Dayton ambulance.

Parents were seen coming to the library to try to find their children after the evacuation.

The library reopened to the public a little before 5 p.m.
