Coroner identifies 17-year-old Washington Twp. boy, death investigation continues

A 17-year-old boy who was found dead Wednesday morning in Washington Twp. has been identified.

Nathan Arnold was pronounced dead at a home in the 300 block of Lightbeam Drive, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger.

His cause and manner of death remain under investigation. It’s not clear if the death is considered suspicious.

At 7:06 a.m. Wednesday, Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies responded to Lightbeam Drive for a deceased person.

Deputies spoke to a hospice nurse on the scene who pronounced the teen deceased after he died overnight, according to the sheriff’s office.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office is conducting a postmortem examination, and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit is continuing to investigate.
