A 20-year-old man who was killed in a crash that seriously injured two other people in Dayton has been identified.

Hadin Davis was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger.

The man and woman who were injured are in stable condition, Dayton police said Wednesday morning.

According to the Montgomery County Regional Dispatch Center, the crash was reported at 4:28 p.m. Tuesday in the 4000 block of Valley Pike.

A 911 caller told dispatchers that two vehicles crashed head-on near the Dayton Scream Park, describing one car as “smashed” and saying that the cars were smoking.

He said that he believed one person was dead, and two others were injured.

“It’s bad, it’s bad, it’s really bad,” he said.

Investigators determined a Ford Focus was traveling east on Valley Pike toward Wrightway Road when the driver lost control, according to Dayton police. The Ford crossed the centerline and was hit by a GMC Yukon heading in the opposite direction.

Davis was a passenger in the Ford.

The drivers of the Ford and GMC, a 21-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman respectively, were both taken to the hospital.

Riverside dispatchers said that their emergency crews were on the scene first but handed it over to Dayton crews when they arrived.

Dayton Police Department’s Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate the crash.
