Alleged drunk driver crashes into Dayton restaurant

A drunk driver allegedly crashed into the front of Jimmie’s Ladder 11, a restaurant in Dayton, late Friday night.

A vehicle around 3:11 a.m. headed south on Brown Street, lost control of the vehicle and collided with the restaurant located at 936 Brown Street, according to a crash report from the Dayton Police Department.

“The driver of unit number one did not stay to provide the information required by law,” police stated in the report.

No injuries were reported.

“The front of our building has experienced some damage due to a drunk driver hitting the building late last night,” according to Jimmie’s Ladder 11 in a Facebook post. “We will remain open as we sweep up the remnants of our front patio.”

Police believe the driver was under the influence of alcohol, according to the crash report.
