4 teens injured after in 20-mile pursuit from Warren County to Dayton

Four teens were injured early Sunday after a pursuit from Warren County to Dayton ended in a crash.

Deputies received a call about individuals going through cars in a residential area in Deerfield Twp. near Mason around 2:50 a.m., Maj. Brian Tinch at the Warren County Sheriff’s Office said.

Tinch said when deputies checked the area, they observed a vehicle that was possibly reported stolen and pursued four individuals, ranging from ages 15 to 19.

He said the pursuit lasted at least 20 miles and went from Interstate 75 at Liberty Way in Butler County and ended in a crash at Home Avenue and South James H. McGee Boulevard in Dayton.

The four teens had injuries that were not life-threatening. It is not known whether any was taken to a hospital.

Multiple agencies responded from Franklin, Middletown and Dayton, as well as the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Tinch said charges are expected to be filed.
