The shooting was reported around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday at the QuikTrip at 2121 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd.
Multiple people called 911 and reported a person in a silver car was shot in the gas station parking lot, according to Montgomery County Regional Dispatch records.
The callers said the shooter fled the area.
When police arrived, they found a 60-year-old man shot in his face in his vehicle, said Dayton police Lt. Eric Sheldon.
He was transported to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
“Witnesses at the scene advised officers that the male that had shot (the victim) had pulled out a gun, robbed the victim of cash and shot the victim,” an affidavit read.
The shooting was reportedly captured on surveillance videos.
“Approximately 30 minutes later officers were dispatched to an area hospital on a possible stabbing,” Sheldon said. “That person had actually been shot and is the suspect in the shooting from Edwin C. Moses.”
The suspect, later identified as Falls, also had non-life-threatening injuries.
Falls had more than $1,300 in cash on him, according to court records.
His features and clothing reportedly matched the surveillance video.
A warrant was issued for Falls’ arrest on Friday.
