1 person injured after crashing into tree in Darke County

One person is injured after crashing head-on into a tree Saturday morning in Darke County.

Darke County crews responded to reports of a one-vehicle injury crash with possible ejection at the 2200 block of Gettysburg-Pitsburg Road around 8:40 p.m., according to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

A black Honda HR-V was traveling northbound on Gettysburg-Pitsburg Road when she drove off the right side of the roadway and collided head-on into a tree, deputies said.

The driver was not ejected.

The driver is suspected of being under the influence of substances at the time of the crash, and was transported to Miami Valley North for unknown injuries.

This crash remains under investigation.
