    Despite more than four decades as a successful dental hygienist, a longing burned within the now 69-year-old Debbie Brown to finish her studies started in the mid-1970s at Miami University’s Oxford campus but cut short by financial hardship. Through the years, Brown carried her passion for earning a degree from Miami where her collegiate career started with bright promise but remained – until this week - an unfulfilled dream for nearly a half century.
