The Ombudsman contacted the Montgomery County Department of Job and Family Services on the woman’s behalf. We inquired if the report about the stolen food stamps had been received and the status of reissuance of her SNAP benefits.
The response to our inquiry came quickly. We learned that the woman’s replacement benefits were processed the day before, and that she should have access to those benefits today. The woman was contacted with the good news and she was thrilled.
