Trotwood man accused of stabbing woman sentenced to prison

A Trotwood man accused of stabbing a woman multiple times and causing life-threatening injuries has been sentenced to prison.

Khyre Christopher Poole, 24, was sentenced by Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Susan Solle to three to four and a half years in prison, with credit for 390 days spent in confinement, followed by up to three years of parole, according to court documents filed Tuesday.

He also was ordered to pay $58,716.14 in restitution to the victim.

Trotwood police responded to a reported stabbing at around 8 p.m. Dec. 17, 2023, in the 5700 block of Salem Bend Drive.

Investigators said that Poole stabbed a woman multiple times, causing lacerations on her neck, chest, arm and stomach, according to an affidavit filed in Montgomery County Municipal Court - Western Division.

A few days after the stabbing police reported the victim suffered life-threatening injuries but was expected to survive.
